South Florida: Caribbean Organizations partner up to host “Cooler Fete” to benefit Susan G. Komen Foundation

Miami – For the fourth year, Jewel Miami and SixAxis Entertainment will host South Florida’s number one Caribbean themed charity cooler fete event, “OASIS”, on Labor Day Weekend, Sunday, September 4, 2011, 6pm to 12 midnight at a signature venue on Key Biscayne, Miami.

This annual cooler fete will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation in its campaign for breast cancer awareness, especially in minority populations.

OASIS 2011 will be the biggest installation to date and will welcome the best in Caribbean DJ talent, including, Alicia ‘The Duchess’ from Trinidad, Jazzy T from Renaissance Jamaica, CIDee Sounds from Atlanta, and DJ Top Feelin’ and House Arrest from Miami. Patrons will enjoy an evening on Biscayne Bay with friends and their personal cooler stash of their favorite beverages. OASIS will feature Caribbean food from Barbican Square, Soca Ranch, and Nobbie’s Place.

“OASIS Cooler Fete highlights the passion of the music, food, and fellowship of Caribbean culture, while recognizing the compassion for raising awareness about breast cancer and the impact on our population, stated Keisha Hall, of JEWEL Miami.

“Our culture is filled with a free partying spirit. We are also purposeful in our traditions. We are looking to harness our energy for revelry and fun for the greater purpose of breast cancer research and awareness, noted Colin McFarlane, of SixAxis Entertainment.

In honor of and in the spirit of breast cancer awareness, OASIS patrons are encouraged to dress in PINK OR WHITE.
