ST. KITTS – Soca Diva Jacinth “Shakki” Cao has released the first single from her upcoming St.Kitts-Nevis Carnival 2010 Album “Riders Only”. The single “High for Carnival” is a classic groovy soca track that will ensure the Kittitian Diva will no doubt join the likes of Claudette Peters, Allison Hinds and Destra as one of the premier female soca acts in the Caribbean.
The track was released online and has already quickly made the rounds on the world wide web on a number of top soca music sites inclding islandmisx.com, trinijunglejuice and tropicalfete.com
The single was written by Shakki with production work by Jazzique Chiverton of Ball a Karn studios in Nevis. Jazzique is well known in the music industry as one of the elite producers in the islands having done exceptional work with artistes including Masud Sadiki, Nu-Vybes and his own Green House Band.

The flamboyant performer’s release became the soundtrack for the launch of the St.Kitts-Nevis Carnival 2010 as the track was featured prominently at the event as well as the backing track for the radio carnival schedule ad/jingle which was premeired. Her track is the first official release for the new and improved St.Kitts-Nevis Carnival which is now named Sugar Mas Carnival 2010.
“I am truly excited about all the positive feedback I’ve been getting regarding this single,” said Shakki. “I think the single reflects the time and effort that I have put into my upcoming album which i hope to release by mid-november,” the St.Kitts Diva continued.
The former St.Kitts Soca Monarch and Nevis Culturama Queen indicated that the upcoming album will feature 8 tracks with production work from a number of Kittitian and other Caribbean producers.
