Michelle McKoy
The founder and organizer, Michelle McKoy sees this as the beginning of something beautiful. “I believe that Sickle Cell Research is an under supported and indeed a worthy cause for community support. Black Brits USA.com would like to give back the best way we know how.” In addition to being an outreach tool, this Florida based website provides news, cultural information, social networking events and international business networking.
Celebrating its 1st birthday, Black Brits USA.com has over 1000 members nationwide and receives an average of 45,000 unique hits a month. “We can only hope to keep growing,” states McKoy, “from the UK we get daily requests and here in the USA, we meet new British expats everyday.” The main goal of the website is to create a reflective portrayal of Black British life, inform and educate in an innovative format.
