Shama Harrysingh Adds Author to her List of Impressive Achievements

FT. LAUDERDALE – On Thursday , November 15th 2012, at 401 N. Avenue of the Arts Fort Lauderdale, in downtown Broward County Shama Harrysingh reached another milestone in her career with the launch of her instructive and insightful book, Etiquette: A Necessity In the Workplace and Beyond- A Business Etiquette Handbook for Professionals : Emerge Publishing Group, LLC at the monthly meeting of the Trinidad and Tobago South Florida Chamber of Commerce.

The book with a foreword by Dr. Tina Dupree and comments from professionals Dr. Neil Parsan, Dr. Ronald Peterson, Mrs. Erica Williams-Connell and Dr. Kushranie Maharaj is a must for everyone’s reading list and is an invaluable resource for people in the work place.

An easy read, the author’s tone is far from pedantic as she uses a simple flowing narrative style to provide the dos and don’ts of individual conduct, dress, speech, interpersonal skills, use of electronic devices and the computer, and respect for others.

The book is delightful. It is instructive without being dictatorial and its immense amount of useful guidelines for good etiquette is presented palatably.

Chamber president, Attorney Roget Bryan spoke glowingly of Shama’s achievement as business person, philanthropist, Certified Etiquette Coach, Certified Image Consultant, Certified Professional Communicator, Realtor and Licensed Mortgage Broker, and community volunteer and praised her for the perseverance that saw the publication of her book Others expressing their admiration for Shama’s dedication and commitment to society in yet another meaningful way were Mr. Michael Dolsingh and Mrs. Jerry Alleyne-Nagee.

Chamber board members, including Vice President Lana Logan, Dr. Veda Bailey, David Thompson and others and dignitaries, Mrs. Kaye Chong, Dr. Rani Dookhie, Mr. Bharath and Mrs. Seeta Boochoon, Mrs. Radica Dolsingh wife of featured speaker, Mr.Michael Dolsingh. Mr. Rawle and Mrs. Janet Dalip, Mr. Sace and Mrs Diana Ramsook, Mr. Rawle and Mrs. Linda Rambaran, Congressman Dale Holness and Sirju Mohan were all in attendance to share in Shama’s success.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Ambassador to the United States and Permanent representative to the United Nations, Dr. Neil Parsan who was acknowledged by Ms. Harrysingh for his moral support and encouragement for her project made a personal call to congratulate her on the occasion of her book launch. The many patrons were elated to have had signed copies of Ms. Harrysingh’s book.
