SHAGGY #1 in Europe
LONDON, England – Shaggy is often labeled as a dancehall icon and he’s currently enjoying that status in Europe, where his current success is sending him to the top of charts across the region. His single, “Feel The Rush,” was picked by UEFA organizers to be the official theme song for the European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 2008.
On his European Intoxication album tour this summer, UEFA organizers tapped into Shaggy’s star power to entertain the VIPs at the opening game and the Euro 2008 Championship match. The extra energy behind the song, and its memorable hook and catchy beats easily pushed the track and its dance remix into top ten charts across Europe, with the single even reaching #1 on the German Pop Chart.
