Scholarship Fund being established in honor of Publisher of Who’s Who in Black South Florida

DAVIE – The life and legacy of Pamela M. Hutchinson, Publisher of Who’s Who in Black South Florida (WWBSF) will be publicly celebrated on Thursday, November 15, 2007 with tributes in words, and songs. Pamela died Nov. 2 after a brief hospital stay.

The program will begin at 7:00pm with doors opening promptly at 6:00pm at the Amaturo Theater – Broward Center for the Performing Arts 201 SW 5th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.

At the Memorial, the Who’s Who In Black South Florida Advisory Board will announce the establishment of a scholarship in Mrs. Hutchinson’s honor, and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to the scholarship fund.

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Pam was 45 years old, and is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jerome Hutchinson Jr., General Sales Manager of WEDR 99 Jamz and daughters Kristin, 15, and Naomi, 10.

A special area will be designated for friends and colleagues to pay their final respects on video tape for one of the most incredible woman of our time to be given to the Hutchinson Family at the conclusion of the Celebration of Life. Seating will be on a first come, first serve basis.

Who’s Who in Black South Florida (WWBSF) has several Advisory Board members who are of Caribbean descent including, Aliasa Allen, A. Wayne Gill, DJ Irie, Atty. Marlon Hill, Dester Bridgeman, Dianne Williams, and Dr. Rudy Moise. The inaugural publication featured many Caribbean-Americans in the South Florida community.
