Saint Lucia’s Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa is riding a record-breaking wave

VIEUX FORT, Saint Lucia  – Saint Lucia’s Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa reported a record-breaking winter across the board with occupancies topping 92%, increased ADRs and in March 2014 revenues exceeded $2 million for the first time in a given month. The resort’s management expects this growth to continue through the 2014 off-season based on advanced bookings.

“We have sustained increased demand and growth year-over-year since 2010 and this year we are on pace to exceed all of our original, conservative sales expectations,” says Mark Adams, CEO of Coconut Bay. “New bookings from North America have kept us on trend as has our strong repeat guest business. A combination of factors have contributed to this success — the major investment that has been made in renovating the resort is paying off and I have to recognize the work our staff does, we’ve set the bar high on the service we promise and they consistently deliver on it.”

Renovation and refreshment have been the key buzzwords at Coconut Bay and the results are clear, with the entire resort having been redone over the last three years including September 2012 and 2013 closures. From the front of the house to the back, restaurants to rooms, the resort has even added two new room categories, the Splash Premium Oceanview and the Harmony Concierge Jr. Suite. The resort will close again during September 2014 for another planned transformation of the Harmony pool area.

Coconut Bay continues to enhance their outstanding array of all-inclusive features and amenities. The renovated Beach Grill follows dinner service with late-night snacks from 10pm-1am, there is new waiter service at the adults-only Quiet Pool and Bar, guests can indulge their sweet tooth at the late-night Chocolate Buffet and the new Kids Swim-Up Bar blends up kiddie-inspired signature treats. Harmony Jr. Suite guests receive private check-in, complimentary in-room Wi-Fi and more as part of the resort’s new Concierge service, and for wedding couples the new Eternity Beach ceremony setting overlooks dramatic ocean vistas.

Positive word-of-mouth has also contributed to outstanding reviews on sites like TripAdvisor® with Coconut Bay meeting or exceeding expectations and improving their ranking overall among Saint Lucia’s hotels, having just been awarded the 2014 TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence. Social media tracking is also positive with the resort reaching 20,000 Facebook “Likes” in June 2014.
