Reunited Wailing Souls thrill South Florida reggae fans

FT. LAUDERDALE – The long awaited reunited Wailing Souls have indeed made their triumphant return after 23 years with all four members.

Their first debut performance was at the world famous Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, California on August 12th with Burning Spear and Sly and Robbie to a 17,000 capacity crowd (with a glowing review by Hollywood’s authoritative Variety daily news magazine) and then thrilling the crowd in South Florida on Saturday, August 25th, at The Club Revolution in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

The group made a special studio appearance the next day at the famed Circle House Studio (Inner Circle’s own state of the art studio) in Miami to record a track ” One World” for an upcoming Shanachie Records reggae tribute CD of songs by superstar pop/reggae group The Police, themselves newly reunited after many years.

The legendary Reggae quartet will be heading to headline the three-day 12th Annual Monterey Bay Reggae Festival bring fans their sweet harmonies on a set list that include classics like “Things and Time,” Firehouse Rock,” “Shark Attack” and many more favorites.

Plans are now in the making for the Wailing Souls to release a new album followed by an extensive tour of North America, Europe and points beyond with announcements to come soon.
