FT. LAUDERDALE – On Sunday, April 20 South Florida reggae music lovers enjoyed an evening of “Classical Reggae” at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts which had everyone in the audience rocking to the sweet sounds of reggae accompanied by the smooth, silky sounds of a string orchestra.
The evening of “Classical Reggae” was billed as the Reggae Symphony, and featured reggae pioneer John Holt, O.D. and Grammy nominated, reggae ambassador Freddie McGregor, O.D. accompanied by Lloyd Parkes’ We the People Band and the New York Symphony Reggae Strings.
John Holt and Freddie McGregor performed their numerous chart topping which thrilled the crowd and had them begging for more.

Event organizers, Riddims Marketing and Big Ship Music, Inc. were please with the response that they received from the community and the fact that the Caribbean community embraced this type of musical event.
