Reggae songtress, Pam Hall set to release new album Songs in the Key of Dancehall

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Reggae songtress, Pam Hall is on the verge of releasing her long awaited eleventh album, ‘Songs in the Key of Dancehall’.

The anticipation has heightened with the success of her hit single, ‘Broken Hearted Melody’, a remake of the old classic combined with the fabulous ‘Coolie Dance’ riddim, courtesy of Scatta Burrell. The current single ‘Moonlight Lover’/’Outa Aada’ is getting good exposure and plans for a video shoot are proceeding.

Songs in the Key of Dancehall’, demonstrates the versatility and the wide scope of dancehall rhythms. With a potpourri of musical styles such as jazz, rhythm and blues and gospel blended with dancehall styles, this album should break new ground.

According to Pam, “fans should prepare themselves to have a jolly good time with this album”. ‘Songs in the Key of Dancehall’, is distributed by All Access ENT, and will soon be available in your local record store.

The ever musically adventurous Pam Hall after releasing her jazz album ‘Testament’ in 2005 along with the great Ernie Ranglin, has turned her full attention to the completion of this ‘dancehall’ project. The album features Pam doing most of the work herself in her own little home studio.

Pam’s hit single, Broken Hearted Melody did very well on the reggae charts in South Florida. Another current single, ‘Fool’ (not on this album) was recorded for producer, Jah Ruby, while Pam was working in Florida during the summer of ’05 has also done very well on the South Florida Reggae Chart.
