DAVIE – Pat Montague Marketing & Promotions has entered into a marketing and promotions partnership with Mobay City Run 10K and 5K Run and Walk Marathon in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Pat Montague is scheduled to run the 5K race in Montego on May 7th, 2017 and is encouraging listeners to her popular radio show on WAVS 1170 and on social media platforms to come out and run.

The promotion involves a weekly interview with organizers, sponsors and participants, commercials on WAVS 1170 AM and posting all pre-race training runs on social media geared toward motivating as many people as possible to participate in the Mobay City Run.

“I’m very excited to be in this race. I’m running the 5k, so I know I can manage it easily. Plus it’s in Montego Bay, where I always have a fabulous time when I visit. I’m looking forward to running, partying and relaxing. It is going be a fun time,” said Ms. Montague, CEO of Pat Montague Marketing & Promotions.

The brainchild of modern-day visionary and outstanding humanitarian Janet Silvera, the MoBay City Run was organized and established as a means to support underprivileged youths in western Jamaica in fulfilling their dreams and aspirations of attaining tertiary level education.

The theme for this year’s race is ‘Four Years of Dedication to Education.’

Mobay City Run benefits students of The University of the West Indies, Mona- Western Jamaica Campus, The University of Technology (UTECH) Western Campus, the Montego Bay Community College and has committed to allocating half of a million dollars towards early childhood education in western Jamaica.  The event has raised $10.5 million Jamaican dollars over the last three years.

The MoBay City Run will consist of a 5K Walk, 5K Run and 10K Run and scheduled for May 7, 2017.

“I was pleased to have the Pat Montague Marketing & Promotions team as part of the event. We are looking to have more than the 3000 participants we had last year. I wouldn’t be surprised if we reach the magic figure of 4000,” said Ms. Silvera.
