Prayer Services for Caribbean countries affected by Hurricane Dean

MIAMI GARDENS – On Monday, August 20, at 7:30 p.m., Holy Family, Miami Gardens, will hold a Prayer Service of Hope and Encouragement for all those especially in Jamaica and the Caribbean affected by Hurricane Dean, and their anxious family members and friends in our communities.

The evening will begin with a soup supper at 6 p.m. The Hon. Winston Barnes, City of Miramar Commissioner and popular radio show host-WAVS 1170AM, will be the Prayer Speaker. Music will be provided by Celebrated Musicians, Dem 3 Jamaican Tenors – Steve Higgins, David Reid & Cecil Cooper.

Holy Family, as well as Holy Sacrament, Pembroke Pines, is a collection site for such relief supplies as non-perishable food, bottled water, first-aid kits and batteries.

Jamaican community organizations organizing relief have requested NO donations of clothing. Air Jamaica has agreed to begin shipping supplies as soon as it is safe to resume flights.
