Popular Jamaican Comedia Duo Ity & Fancy Cat Gears Up For Return to the Big Apple

NEW YORK – Popular Jamaican comedic duo Ity & Fancy Cat is gearing up for their return to the Big Apple this Fall. The George W. Wingate Campus in Brooklyn will be the venue for the duo’s lone New York appearance on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at 8:00 pm. Ity & Fancy Cat will share the stage will notable comedian Susan Kennedy from Trinidad & Tobago and a host of other friends, including reggae singer and producer Highland “Dobby” Dobson.

“We are happy to return to grace the New York stage and entertain our fans in that market, many of whom watch us each week on television,” noted Ity & Fancy Cat. “We thank them for their support over the years and are eager to share some new material with patrons who attend this special performance.”

The duo first came to public attention when they were cast in the Courts (Jamaica) Furniture advertising campaign, and continued to increase in popularity with numerous corporate and other engagements such as the Caribbean leg of ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

Unquestionably the hottest comedy act currently operating out of the Caribbean, the duo is an absolutely ‘must have’ item on any stand-up comedy show and will be sure to have the audience in fits of laughter and begging for more.

’Owen “Blakka” Ellis, who brought the curtains down on his comedic career in New York last year is now chief script writer for their exciting and hilarious television series, will serve as host.

Tickets for the event are reasonably priced at $35 for advance purchase and $40 at the door.
