PM Douglas to give keynote address at Commonwealth Business Forum

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas will address the Commonwealth Business Forum which begins in Perth, Australia on Tuesday.

Dr. Douglas has accepted the invitation from the Director-General, Dr. Mohan Kaul to deliver the keynote address during the session” Investing in the Caribbean” on Wednesday 26th October at the Burswood Convention Centre.

He is among 100 eminent speakers and panelists and 1200 delegates to attend the October 25th to 27th forum, the premier business event in the Commonwealth, bringing together Heads of Government, Ministers and top business leaders from around the world.

Prime Minister Douglas has also been invited to participate in the roundtable by Australia’s Prime Minister the Right Hon. Mrs. Julia Gillard with selected Heads of Government and Business leaders.

The CBF is co-organised by the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC), the Australian Government and Government of Western Australia and forms part of the overall Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, which will run from October 28th to 30th.

“It provides a valuable opportunity for high level dialogue on trade and investment between business and government leaders from the Commonwealth and beyond,” said Dr. Kaul.
