Organization raising funds for the Caribbean “Dare to Care” HIV/AIDS Program

NEW YORK – The Caribbean-American Outreach Association, (CAOA) USA, Inc. will be hosting its 6th annual dinner/dance, awards ceremony and fashion show, on November 10th, 2007 at the Glen Terrace located at 5313 Avenue N, in Brooklyn, New York.

Partial proceeds from the event will go towards the hurricane relief fund for Jamaica, the Mustard Seed Community “Dare to Care HIV/AIDS Program” for medication and a scholarship fund.

The Caribbean-American Outreach Association, (CAOA) USA, Inc. is a non-profit, membership-supported organization headquartered in Brooklyn, New York whose mission is to strengthen the health, education and general welfare of children in the Caribbean Region, as well as the United States of America particularly those who are afflicted with HIV/AIDS virus.

According to Jean Hamilton, CAOA president, “We seek to promote preventative health care and wellness maintenance within the five boroughs of New York, as well as in the Caribbean Region”.

CAOA also is involved in granting scholarships to children who excel in their schoolwork or whose parent cannot afford the tuition for them to go forward to the next level.
