Golden Krust Celebrates 20 Golden years with 20cents Beef patties

LAUDERDALE LAKES – Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill, the nation’s largest and fastest growing Caribbean franchise celebrates 20 years in business on August 22nd, 2009 The Jamaican family-owned and operated business started back in 1989 in the South Bronx is now a leading contender in the franchise and baking industry.

Proud President and CEO, Lowell Hawthorne beaming with pride said “ who would have thought that Jamaican beef patties would one day rival the American favorite….the hamburger” he went on to announce that the company’s signature beef patties will go on sale for 20cents to the first 100 customers on that day. System-wide celebrations are planned to mark the date, with the main event at the 4120 NW 12th Street in Lauderhill, FL. Events are set to kick-off nationwide at 11am, customers will enjoy live music, free samples and lots of give-aways.

The festivities will continue on Sunday, August 23rd with a Thanksgiving Church Service to be held at the Living Word Community Church, 5770 West Oakland Park Blvd, Lauderdale Lakes commencing @ 4pm. Consul General of Jamaica to Miami – Hon Sandra Grant-Griffiths; Commissioner Dale Holness, Mayor of Lauderdale Lakes – Barrington Russell; Richard J. Kaplan – Mayor City of Lauderhill are among the officials set to attend both events.
