Santiago, Chile – The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, and the President of Haiti, Michel Martelly, met in Santiago, Chile, in the context of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) – European Union Summit earlier this week.
During the meeting, the two discussed current regional issues and, in particular the situation in the Caribbean country. They also discussed the prospects for the CELAC meeting, which will be held following the EU-CELAC Summit, which both will attend this weekend in the Chilean capital.
