NU-VYBES adds new Member

BASSETTERRE, St.Kitts – Firstly, the Nu Vybes Band International aka De Sugar Band would like to express its most sincere gratitude to its fans.

The Sugar Band fans are unique, loyal, dedicated, faithful and most of all supportive. Without the support of the fans, the Band could not survive. Therefore, this latest award of “Best Soca Group’ at the recently held 13th Annual Reggae Soca Music Awards belongs to the Band as well as the fans. “We did it”; we worked hard for it”, and “we have more to achieve together”.

Special recognition and thanks must be given to Mr. Wallis Wilkin, who single-handedly took on this project and rallied the thousands of Sugar Band fans to vote and to let their vote count. He should be commended for his dedication and his willingness to take on this huge task of not only spearheading the Sugar Band’s awareness among the Caribbean populace but galvanizing and launching a Kittitian Musical revolution.

The Band is truly humbled by this award and realizes the importance of working harder to spread the musical vibes throughout the entire Caribbean chain of islands from Trinidad and Tobago in the south to Bermuda in the north, they must all “feel the musical vibes.” This can only be accomplished by the dedication, perseverance, and talent as well as the continued support of the Sugar Band Fans.

Imran Liburd

Secondly, the Band is happy to announce the addition of Mr. Imran Liburd formally of the Small Axe Band. Mr. Liburd brings to the Band a wealth of experience both in lyrical talent as well as a phenomenal vocal range. With this addition to the already powerful, melodious, smooth, sweet, sultry sounds of Mr. Mention and the rough, robust and rugged yardie vibes of Rush, the Sugar Band cannot be matched on any musical forum.

The Sugar Band fans expect the best, deserve the best and will continue to receive the best as the Band strives for musical excellence on every level.
