Newly elected Caribbean-American County Commissioner to be sworn in Nov. 16

BROWARD COUNTY – Newly elected Broward County Commissioner, Dale Holness will be sworn into office on Tuesday, November 16, at 10a.m. sharp at the Broward Government Center, Downtown Ft. Lauderdale, 115 S. Andrews Ave.

Commissioner Holness who is of Jamaican descent was elected to the Broward County Commissioner on Tuesday, November 2nd. Holness was previously the Vice Mayor and Commissioner for the City of Lauderhill a heavily populated area for Caribbean-Americans.

In a released statement County Commissioner thanks his supporters and is inviting them to share in this special moment, “I would like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made a contribution to my campaign, whether it was financially, by volunteering, or by voting”. “I am truly grateful”. “Your contribution and support have given me this incredible opportunity to be of service to you and the people of BrowardCounty, particularly those of District 9”.

“As we look ahead, we face the challenging task of working to increase job opportunities and economic development in Broward County”. “This will be my number one focus as I get to work, changing the dynamic of District 9, while strengthening the community of Broward County as a whole”.

Lunch will be served following the ceremony.
