New Poll of Likely Voters In Florida Show Broad Support For Bipartisan Senate Immigration Bill

Miami – As debate on the bipartisan immigration bill gets underway in the Senate, Public Policy Polling is releasing the results of a new poll showing overwhelming support for the legislation.

At a press conference on Thursday, June 13 at 10:30 am, South Florida civic leaders and supporters of immigration reform will discuss how the new study indicates voters in Florida are ready for a commonsense solution to the country’s broken immigration system, including a path to citizenship for 11-million undocumented immigrants.

The poll was sponsored by the Alliance for Citizenship, the Partnership for a New American Economy, and Republicans for Immigration Reform — three organizations who represent the broad support for comprehensive, bi-partisan immigration reform.

Full results of the poll will be released immediately after the press conference.

Speakers include: Helen Aguirre Ferre, Univision America radio host; Cesar Alvarez, Co-Chairman of Greenberg Traurig; Remedios Diaz-Oliver, President of All American Containers, Inc.; Bill Diggs, President and CEO of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce; Bernie Navarro, President of the Latin Builders Association; Gaby Pacheco, Dreamer and immigrant rights leader; Jorge Plasencia, Chairman of the Board of the National Council of La Raza; Maria Rodriguez, Executive Director of the Florida Immigrant Coalition.
