CORAL SPRINGS – Jamaica’s cabaret singer, Karen Williams, O.D. and jazz musician, Jon Williams will grace the South Florida stage in a variety concert “All I Want fe Christmas” to be held Sunday (Dec. 19) at the Coral Springs High School.
Proceeds from the musical performance will benefit the Integrity Children’s Fund (ICF), a Jamaican based non profit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia which contributes to the educational needs of disadvantaged children in Jamaica.
The ICF, a Christian-based organization was started in 2002 by a small group of Jamaicans and friends, with a vision to create hope and opportunity for disenfranchised children in Jamaica through education and self-development and empowerment.
So far, three schools have benefitted from the ICF and these include Joy Town Learning Center, a basic school in Trench Town, Operation Restoration Christian School, a remedial school providing educational rehabilitation of illiterate teenaged students in Trench Town, and Peter’s Rock Preparatory School, a kindergarten and elementary school located in East Rural St. Andrew.
Integrity provides mainly needed resources for the children’s intellectual and social development, contributing over $40,000, annually, to support the operations of the three schools.
Members of the ICF continue to stage several fundraising events throughout the year to support their charities. These events include concerts, walkathons and parties along with contributions from several individual and corporate donors.
Sunday’s event will be an entertainment package for the entire family, according to ICF President, Major Karl Chambers. Patrons will enjoy an evening of music, drama and laughter, and skits from Sarge and de people dem pickney, an Atlanta based drama group.

Both musicians have established themselves as renowned distinct individuals in their careers having produced an extensive repertoire of songs, some of which will be performed at Sunday’s Christmas spectacular.
The concert recently staged a successful performance in Atlanta.
