Multiple events in South Florida to celebrate Caribbean American Heritage Month – June 2009

MIAMI – In the month of June we celebrate Caribbean-American Heritage Month. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of Caribbean Americans in the United States, and a time to pay tribute to the common culture and bonds of friendship that unite the United States and the Caribbean countries.

Miami and Ft. Lauderdale has the 2nd and 3rd largest Caribbean population in the United States and make up the growing percentage of the South Florida population.

Several events have been planned during the month of June in honor of Caribbean-American Heritage month.
