MISSION POSSIBLE: CRACKING THE CODE: BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY Business Empowerment Network Series 2.0

Miami – How many businesses lose precious information every day during a simple blackout or computer freeze? How amazing would it be to work from home at any given day or time with access to company files? These topics and more are the subject of the fourth Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce 2011 Business Empowerment Networking Series (BENS) “Mission Possible: Cracking the Code: Business Technology”, presented by Comcast Business Class.

This event, designed especially for small to medium businesses, will present strategies on integrating new tools in technology to streamline operations. Topics will include explore maximizing communications and collaborations through cloud technology, software-as-a-service (SaaS) and unified communications, all of which are key solutions to accelerating a company’s competitiveness in our always-on modern economy. The world has changed and this BENS event targets professionals interested in enabling access to data and operations from anywhere in the world, without boundaries.

The networking series will take place on Thursday August 18th, 2011 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Jungle Island’s Treetop Ballroom, Jungle Island 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail; Miami, FL. The luncheon will feature keynote speaker: Jaret Davis, Co-Managing Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig PA; Kevin Michael, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Invizio; Mico Yuk, Director of Sales and Business Development at Benchmarkers Business Intelligence and founder of EverythingXcelsius.com; Oscar Musibay, South Florida Business Journal Reporter and Marlon Hill,  CEO & Founding Partner at delancyhill P.A who was featured in the June 2011 issue of Black Enterprise Magazine, highlighting their transition to Cloud Technology, saving the firm 55% in operating costs this year alone.

“Staying ahead of the curve with the integration of new technology is a smart business decision. Ideas like cloud technology allows minority business owners the flexibility of working remotely with all their information at the tip of their fingers, providing savings on annual operational expenses,” said Bill Diggs, President and CEO of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce.

This new series is open to the public and is $10.00 for chamber members and $20.00 for non-members.  Attendants are required to bring a laptop with them for interactive portions of the event. Exhibition space for your business is also available for $40.00 for members and $50.00 for non-members; however, space is limited.
