SOUTH FLORIDA – In celebration of 30 years of Carnival in South Florida, Miami Broward One Carnival Host Committee Inc.(MBOCHCI) a management collaboration between Miami Carnival, Inc (MCI) and Broward Caribbean Carnival Inc.,(BCCI), is pleased to announce the renewal of their event management agreement and also to confirm that Miami Broward Carnival will be staged on Columbus Day Weekend, Sunday, October 12, 2014 in South Florida.
Venue details are pending logistic confirmations and will be announced shortly.
MBOCHCI recognizes the concern and outcry from the community with regards to the recent announcement of the change of date of the Carnival. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to your personal plans or business operations. MBOCHCI faced a series of challenging hurdles in making this prior decision as a result of Sun Life Stadium not being available. Given the input from all stakeholders to retain the value of Columbus Day Weekend, we are exercising all best efforts to ensure a successful Carnival on October 12.
In addition to addressing operational and administrative improvements, MBOCHCI is committed to elevating its commitment to more consistent communication and collaborations with various community stakeholders, including mas bands, steel bands, Jouvert bands, and promoters. We look forward to welcoming you at our official launch of our 30th Anniversary on Saturday, July 19 at Sun Life Stadium.
