The North American leg of Stephen Marley’s summer tour, which kicked off in Ventura, CA on June 8, will hit more than 30 venues in June and July, reaching thousands of fans in the US and Canada who are sure to be relaxed and “feeling alright,” with their Marley’s Mellow Mood in hand and Stephen coming through the speakers.
Stephen Marley will be touring in celebration of his new album, Revelation Part 1: The Root of Life, which has just hit the streets on Universal Records / Ghetto Youths International, Inc. Later this year, the five-time Grammy Award winning producer, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and second son of legendary reggae artist, Bob Marley, plans to release a follow-up to the Root of Life entitled, Revelation Part 2: The Fruit of Life, which will lean towards more of what Marley describes as an “eclectic feel.” While Stephen Marley has built a formidable reputation handily navigating between genres, Revelation Part 1: The Root of Life marks a return to Marley’s roots reggae foundation.
Marley’s Mellow Mood is designed to reduce stress and relieve tension, while calming the soul and easing the mind. A portion of all sales benefits 1Love.org, the Marley family non-profit initiative, which works to continue promoting the legacy of their father by supporting charities that empower youth, protect the planet and promote peace.
