Legends of Jamaican music to perform in South Florida for Mother’s Day Special

PEMBROKE PINES – Two legends of Jamaican music, Ernie Smith and Pluto Shervington, will be the featured showcase artistes for some special charity events over the Mother’s Day weekend in May.

“A Heartfelt Journey” will feature an intimate night celebrating and showcasing these great folk lyricists/storytellers of Jamaican music, while raising much needed funds for the life saving efforts of The Jamaican Children’s Heart Fund Inc. (JCHF).

The night will feature a classic, on-stage performance, as Ernie and Pluto will perform songs from their just released albums, as well as an unforgettable display of their original popular hits. Guests will have non-stop Caribbean entertainment as they can mingle and party to the popular sounds of DJ Mark Swaby while enjoying delectable Caribbean cuisine plus a bar offering some of our Caribbean favorite drinks.

Hosted by JCHF, this will also be a major charity fund raising event benefiting their life saving medical missions. All profits from this event will go to JCHF to help provide cost free open heart surgery to children from extremely poor families in Jamaica. JCHF is a 501c3 non-profit charity, which is comprised of a medical team from Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in South Florida. For Mother’s Day weekend 2009, “A Heartfelt Journey” is preparing to host this special event in two cities. On Friday May 8th, 2009, “A Heartfelt Journey” is planning to take the Ernie and Pluto Showcase to the Altamonte Springs area in Orlando, and on Sunday May 10th we will be in Davie down in the South Florida area.

The inaugural “Heartfelt Journey” was held on November 22, 2008 and has been described as one of the most enjoyable Caribbean events in South Florida. This event was hosted by 7-time Grammy nominated reggae legends, Third World, and the feedback is that it was one of the most memorable performances by the Reggae Ambassadors. For those of you who missed that fantastic event in November, try not to miss this upcoming Mother’s Day special. Mark your calendars for Mother’s Day weekend 2009.

As we give the utmost kudos to all in the reggae industry who step up to give back, we invite you to join Princess PM Productions, Break Away Moments and Trilogy Productions to help save the lives of dying children.
