Lecture series helps executives in, “Minding Your Business”

MIAMI – The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Business Council will host the second in its four part series of breakfast meetings on Thursday June 7th, 2007, 7:30am-9:30am at the Radisson Hotel Miami, Alto Room, 1601 Biscayne Boulevard.

The series is entitled Minding Your Business: The Lawyer, The Accounting & Human Resources/
Employees in Your Business. The event, a panel discussion, features Carolyn Donaldson, Vice President of Human Resources, Noven Pharmaceuticals, Althea Whittingham, Partner, Tri-Merge Consulting Group and Michelle Delancy, Partner, delancyhill P.A.

The objective of Minding Your Business is to feature a highly successful and diverse group of women who are experts in the fields of law, accounting and human resources to provide insight, understanding and the best practices to address the challenges women face when running a small business.

Rhonda Smith, President of Rhegal Consulting and Chairwoman of the Women’s Business Council comments “We’re really striving to accomplish, not only for our members but for other women business owners, a true understanding of what the important factors are to consider, so that they can be much more competitive. The Women’s Business Council is a committee that aims to address issues in the workplace that positively and/or negatively affect women of color, tackle issues that affect the women business owner.

The Women’s Business Council works to strengthen the ties that exist between women while maintaining a business focus. The Women’s Business Council regularly hosts seminars, workshops and events on various events and topics related to women and the business community.
