Lauderhill Regional Chamber of Commerce to host it’s 7th Annual Business Showcase and Networking Forum featuring Les Brown
Lauderhill – The Lauderhill Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold its 7th Annual Business Showcase and Networking Forum October 21-24, 2010 at the Inverrary Country Club, in Lauderhill.
This four-day annual event presented by D. Stephenson Construction, kicks off with a free Business Expo that will highlight companies in the tri-county area, followed by three days of jam-packed activities including: an awards luncheon with nationally acclaimed motivational speaker Les Brown, a celebrity golf tournament and luncheon hosted by golf enthusiast and NFL Hall of Famer Dwight Stephenson, and Lauderhill FREE Jazz Sunday featuring Joan Cartwright, Women In Jazz South Florida, and acclaimed jazz jam ensemble.
“We are proud to present the 7th Annual Business Expo to provide our members and businesses in the tri-county area with a platform to network with other businesses, expose their products and services to consumers, explore global markets, and make a positive contribution to this vibrant community,” states John G. Beckford, Executive Director, Lauderhill Regional Chamber of Commerce.
On Thursday, October 21, 4-9pm, attendees at the free Business Expo will interact with businesses from all sectors, attend power-packed informational workshops, sample tasty delights during the culinary competition with a celebrity chef, and participate in a visual art exhibition.
Friday, October 22, 11:30 AM – 2:30pm, guest keynote speaker Les Brown will energize and inspire the audience at the Chamber Awards Luncheon. Tickets are $50 for members and $60 for non-members.
Saturday, October 23, 8:30 AM – 4:00pm, celebrity golfer Dwight Stephenson will host the Celebrity Golf Tournament and Awards Luncheon. Individual green fees are $125 and teams of four (4) are $400. Fans and members of the general public are invited to lunch with golfers. Tickets are $30.
Sunday, October 24, 12 Noon – 6pm, Women in Jazz South Florida, Inc. will present a fun-filled afternoon of FREE Jazz, hosted by Tracy Fields of WLRN 91.3 FM Radio at the Shoppes of Inverrary Plaza, 5557 W. Oakland Park Blvd., adjacent to City Hall.
There will be prizes and surprises but attendees must be present to win. Giveaways include a Grand Prize Trip for two (2) to 4-nighst in Jamaica, W.I. and 4 nights in Trinidad & Tobago courtesy of Air Jamaica, Caribbean Airlines, Breezes All-Inclusive Resorts, Trelawny Jamaica and Alicia’s Palace, Trinidad. The raffle drawing for the grand prize will take place at 4:45 PM SHARP. Tickets are $10 each.
Proceeds from the raffle sale will benefit the Lauderhill Regional Chamber of Commerce, Women in Jazz South Florida, Inc., Broward Cares Mentoring Movement and the Bob Marley School of Music Radio Station in Falmouth, Jamaica.
