LAPARKAN AT GUYANA BUSINESS EXPO IN ATLANTA
Atlanta – Laparkan Shipping is among more than 50 companies from Guyana and around the United States participating in the Guyana Business Expo which opens Saturday, March 16 and continues on Sunday.
The expo which will feature exhibits and workshops will be held at the Conference Center of the Georgia Piedmont Technical College, 495 North Indian Creek Drive, in Clarkston, Georgia. It will be open to the public from 9 am to 10 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Put on jointly by the Georgetown-based Guyana Office for Investment and Thompson Management Consulting of Georgia, the expo is intended to showcase export ready products from Guyana, seek to identify and develop new markets and promote investment opportunities available in a range of sectors including agro-industry, mining, telecommunications and tourism. A number of workshops has also been arranged to discuss investment incentives, import and export regulations, strategies for growing Guyana’s competitiveness and joint venture opportunities.
Officials from Guyana’s Office for Investment as well as several private sector leaders are already in Atlanta for the event which will also be attended by diplomats and private sector representatives in the US.
Seelochney Mohamed, General Manager of Laparkan Georgia says that the shipping company will have a booth at the expo in addition to participating in the workshops. She said that attendees would have an opportunity to discuss their logistics and shipping needs with Laparkan officials. “As the leading logistics solutions company serving the Caribbean region Laparkan is well positioned to serve investors and exporters with the shipment of products, machinery and equipment, raw material and other cargo either by ocean or air to the Caribbean.
