Kudos for Bermuda Hotels

HAMILTON, Bermuda – Premier Dr. Ewart F. Brown, Minister of Tourism and Transport, offered congratulations over the holiday weekend to the management and staff at the Elbow Beach Hotel for making Travel + Leisure Magazine’s prestigious “500 Best Hotels in the World List”.

Elbow Beach was one of only 50 hotels around the world to be newly named to the prominent list.

In an e-mail to the hotel’s general manager Frank Stocek, Premier Brown wrote: “Congratulations Frank! Good things come to those who work hard.”

The Premier believes the dedicated work of the management and staff at Elbow Beach is the driving force behind the new accolade. Director of Tourism William Griffith also e-mailed a congratulatory note to Mr. Stocek over the weekend.

The Travel + Leisure hotels list also includes a second Bermuda property – The Reefs Hotel. The highly-regarded Southampton establishment on the south shore has received the distinction many times.

Premier Brown also sent a note of congratulations to owner David Dodwell, acknowledging the fine work of the management and staff there.
