SOUTH FLORIDA – It’s not often that Kashief Lindo hits the big stage in South Florida, but when he gets the opportunity, he is rearing to go.
He is one of the acts for Reggae Meets Soul which takes place on March 18 at Coral Springs Center For The Performing Arts.
The singer, whose hit songs include No Can Do and The First Cut is The Deepest, is willing to perform in his hometown once the conditions are right.
“When you are working for people who are straightforward and have no problems attached, there is a certain amount of comfort when you know you can work and not think about anything else, but to please your audience. Yes, I am definitely happy doing this show,” he said.
This is the third staging of Reggae Meets Soul which is promoted by LTK 20 Records. Lindo appeared on the first event in 2018.
Russell Thompkins Jr. And The New Stylistics, J C Lodge, ska legend Eric “Monty” Morris, Michael Russell and saxophonist/singer Yishka are also on the show which makes a comeback after two years due to Covid-19.
Leroy Sibbles, Nadine Sutherland, The Drifters, The Manhattans and The Melodians have been featured on Reggae Meets Soul.
Lindo is a key member of Heavy Beat Records, the independent company owned and operated by his father, Willie Lindo.
His latest album, Love On, was released in December, 2021.
