FT. LAUDERDALE – Jamaica’s Reggae Sensation, Sanchez will be featured live in concert with the legendary R&B icon The ICE Man – Jerry Butler at the world famous Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Complex Ballroom on Sunday, March 26 in Ft Lauderdale.
Billed as An Evening of Elegance, the two silk voiced crooners of different eras and musical genre will be at their very best, on stage along with their respective Bands and friends.
There will be lots in store for the fans and friends who will join them, as they bring back the memories of yesteryear with their many hit songs in what is considered a historic first.
Fans of both artiste are very excited about the collaboration and area hotels are already having big buzz from out of town guests who will be attending this very special event. There will be a special (limited) VIP seating section, who will receive special gift packages from the artiste, there will also be a pre show cocktail hour for VIP ticket holders.
Part proceeds from this event will help to continue and launch Sanchez’s 2nd year talent search series for inner city youths in Jamaica, his first series which was an eye opening feat and a labor of love was totally funded by Sanchez himself which ended in August 2005 in Kingston. The finalists were awarded cash prizes and recording contracts with Sanmonik Promotions Records.
Sanchez is currently in Jamaica putting on the finishing touches to his self produced album on his Sanmonik Label and preparing for his 2006 Tour which begins in the Cayman Island. On Valentines Day February 14th he will return home to the United States for his February 24th appearances in Los Angeles and March 2nd in New York City and continue through the USA, Canada, the Caribbean, Europe and Japan for the rest of the year.
Sanchez is a phenomenon – one who really signifies, promoting Jamaica in every step of his international musical journeys, rendering flawlessly the National Anthem in the middle of his repertoire every night and ending his powerful set with a touching rendition of one of his recorded Gospel songs.
This March 26th event is a joint effort of Sanmonik Promotions and Nostalgia In Gold and is the first in a series of concerts to be staged at the Hard Rock Paradise complex for 2006.
Both artiste are very excited about performing together.
