Jamaica’s Olympic Champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Grace Foods Kick Off Cool Runnings Promotion

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s Olympic and newly crowned world indoor 60m champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Grace Foods, authentic provider of Caribbean food since 1922, have again joined forces to kick off an exciting promotional initiative targeting health conscious consumers, Cool Runnings.

The promotion which features Grace Foods’ newest 100% All Natural Coconut Water tetra pak will give consumers an opportunity to sample and win. In addition to hosting tasting events at a number of select locations in key markets, Grace has also partnered with fitness trainers to promote awareness of the benefits of coconut water in athletics.

The promotion, which starts this month and runs through April 13, 2014, culminates with 8 lucky winners from Maryland, New York and California receiving a V.I.P. trip to the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa. on April 26, 2014. Each winner will also receive a full-year gym membership courtesy of Grace.

“The Cool Runnings promotion is an interactive and fun way for Grace Foods to strengthen its bond with the growing numbers of consumers who already lead a healthy lifestyle or would like to,” says Derrick Reckord, General Manager, Grace Foods International. “The All Natural Coconut Water is in line with the active ‘on the go’ lifestyle of our customers while retaining the Grace Foods heritage in providing the best coconut water experience to everyone.”

Consumers can enter to win the Cool Runnings promotion via the Grace Coconut Water Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/gracecocowater or at participating supermarkets in the New York City and Baltimore areas including: Pathmark, Key Food, Associated, Shoppers Food and Bestway. New York City fitness instructor Angel Lopez will be working with local running clubs to host samplings, offer fitness tips and entries into the promotion.

Mrs. Fraser-Pryce has been a brand ambassador for Grace Foods since 2008 and has said that she is honored to share the many benefits of coconut water and the importance of proper hydration for one of Jamaica’s most recognizable brands.

The new Grace Coconut Water Tetra Pak will be available in May at major grocery stores across the country and can be found in the international food aisle. It will also be found in most ethnic food stores across the country.
