Jamaican Sensation Tessanne Chin To Perform At The White House
NEW YORK, NY – Tessanne Chin, the Jamaican songstress best known for winning season five of NBC’s “The Voice”, will score another first in Jamaican-American music history when she performs at the White House today Thursday March 6, 2014, at First Lady Michelle Obama’s Women of Soul concert series.
The concert lineup is a legendary cast of who’s who, including Patti LaBelle, Melissa Etheridge, Janelle Monáe, Jill Scott, Ariana Grande and Aretha Franklin.
The show will be streamed live at WhiteHouse.gov/live at 7:30p.m.EST, and will also broadcast on PBS stations across America on Monday, April 7 at 9:00p.m.EST
Chin, who hails from Jamaica’s capital city of Kingston, has been taking the U.S. by storm since winning over the judges and viewers of NBC’s “The Voice”.
