Jamaican entrepreneur, Patrick Cha Fong gives word of wisdom to the Trench Town Comprehensive High School Alumni Assoc.

MIAMI – On Saturday, October 15th, 2011, Patrick Cha-fong , President of the Kingston Miami Trading Company  gave a resounding  speech of  hope and entrepreneurship to a packed house of alumni’s and friends, as special guest speaker at the Trench Town Comprehensive High School Alumni Assn., annual fundraising ball.

Mr. Cha-Fong spoke about his experience in Jamaica and how he was able to rise above a disadvantaged childhood to achieve success both in Jamaica and in the USA.    

He emphasized the salience of being focused, resilient and always thinking ahead of the competitors in your professions, pointing out the competiveness of food and finance industries.
He explained that forward thinking as a currency trader, food technologist and businessman are attributes that helped his company to overcome industry hiccups and the recession. This type of thinking is a testament for both him and his wife Christine as to what can be achieved by hard work.

During his speech he also emphasized his love for Jamaica and the importance of being altruistic to your homeland and community. “It is good for business and also uplift your spirits”, he said.

He concluded his speech by encouraging attendees to buy Jamaican products, especially the products of companies whose president and CEO’s are reachable, such as himself.
