The Consulate General of Jamaica in Miami will hold the annual Ecumenical Service in recognition of Jamaica’s 43rd anniversary of Independence.
The service will be held on Sunday, August 7th at 4pm, at the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale at 401 SE Fifteenth Avenue, downtown Fort Lauderdale.
The guest preacher will be the Reverend Oliver Daley, Pastor of Ridgemount United Church in Mandeville.
Proceeds from the collection will benefit the Swift Purscell Boys’ Home in St. Mary and children of officers of the Jamaica Constabulary Force killed in the line of duty.
