Jamaican Diaspora Elections Forum broadcast on youtube.com

MIRAMAR – From a recent hosting of a Community Conversation and Town Hall Meeting, titled “Elections 2007: Our Vision for Jamaica’s Future”, on Thursday, July 26, 2007, the Jamaican Diaspora Southern United States will broadcast a recording of the Forum on the world renowned video-sharing website, YouTube.com. The public may view the full recording (Parts I-VIII) at http://www.youtube.com/marlonhill.

The Town Hall meeting welcomed representatives from Jamaica’s two main political parties, Hon. Phillip Paulwell of the People’s National Party (PNP) and Hon. Karl Chung of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP), local media and community leaders, and the voice and input of Jamaicans in the Diaspora.

“The voice of Jamaicans in the diaspora is a vital part of Jamaica’s present and future development. With the use of cutting-edge technology at You Tube, we hope to further the conversation on the verandah and at the dinner table of our vision for Jamaica’s future all the way until Election Day on August 27th,” stated Marlon Hill, Jamaican Diaspora Advisory Board Member for the Southern United States.
