Jamaica Tourist Board at Miami Home Based Travel Agent Forum
MIAMI – The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) will be in full swing this week at the Home Based Travel Agent Forum, beginning Monday, September 27, in Miami.
Opening the first session of the conference on Monday, Director of Tourism and Chairman of the Jamaica Tourist Board John Lynch will address an audience of 1,000+ industry professionals on the topic of Smart Moves for Innovative Travel Agents.

Then on Tuesday evening, September 28, Donnie Dawson, Deputy Director of Tourism, Sales U.S., will entertain delegates with a taste of real Jamaican hospitality at the JTB-hosted reception Wish You Were Here! The conference runs through September 29 at The Miami Hyatt, and is presented by the Travel Show Marketing Group.
Participation is this high-profile forum synchronizes with the JTB’s enhanced outreach this year to agents in North America. September has been designated Travel Agent Month, and now through early October the JTB is hosting some 2,000 travel agent visits for an update of Jamaica’s newest offerings. A little earlier in the year, Deputy Director Dawson led a 28-city road show in the U.S., with educational seminars for agents in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, and more.
Commenting on the special outreach to agents, Director Lynch noted: “Travel agents are among our most valued industry partners.
