Jamaica To Host the Largest Names in Gospel for Cruise With a Cause 2011

Jamaica Welcomes Donnie McClurkin, Pastor John Hagee, Jentezen Franklin, Tye Tribbett, and more, on the Largest Foreign Mission Cruise

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The sounds of gospel music will ring out in Jamaica’s tourist capital of Montego Bay as PraiseFest Ministries’ Cruise With A Cause arrives via cruise ship Carnival Destiny. Famous passengers will include the best in gospel music such as Donnie McClurkin, Hezekiah Walker, Casting Crowns, and Tye Tribbett, as well as world-renowned ministers, including Franklin Jentezen, Pastor John Hagee, and Bishop Paul Morton. Cruise With A Cause will host a gospel concert on Wednesday, June 1, at the UDC Beach in Montego Bay, starting at 5:30 p.m. The concert will feature the internationally known performers and ministers. An estimated 80,000 people are expected to participate in this praise and worship event, which is free and open to the public.

The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is sponsoring Cruise With a Cause as part of its faith-based tourism efforts. Along with the performance, Jamaica tours and excursions, cruise guests will facilitate mission activities such as visiting over 230 schools.

“Cruise With a Cause combines a Jamaican vacation with a goodwill missions trip, supporting Jamaicans in need,” said John Lynch, Jamaica’s Director of Tourism. “The Jamaica Tourist Board is excited to partner with PraiseFest Ministries. We congratulate them for the nearly sold-out cruise and look forward to welcoming everyone to our destination. Volunteerism is a growing area within the tourism sector and Jamaica is actively working on more of these initiatives.”

Cruise With a Cause, which travels each year to various locations, will provide participants a chance to experience Jamaica’s diverse vacation offerings and a chance to take part in ministry activities. PraiseFest Ministry teams will spend two days in Jamaica during which time they’ll visit schools, prisons, and minister to locals.

“Cruise With a Cause offers something for everyone and our lineup of speakers and music artists is very diverse,” said Dr. Matthew Dunaway, President of PraiseFest Ministries. “Based on this year’s cruises’ increasing popularity, all indications show our cruise will be sold out, making it the largest foreign mission cruise effort.”
