Island Routes Caribbean Adventure Tours Becomes the Only Tour Company to be Honored with Six Star Diamond Award

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica – Island Routes Caribbean Adventure Tours has received the Six Star Diamond Award from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences (AAHS), the world’s premiere organization for awarding excellence in global travel and luxury services. Island Routes is the only adventure tour company to ever be honored with this prestigious award, and has achieved this level of excellence during its first year of operation.

Today, Adam Stewart, CEO of Island Routes Caribbean Adventure Tours, was presented with the Six Star Diamond Award by Joseph D. Cinque, president and CEO of the AAHS during a ceremony held at the new Island Routes outpost in Great Exuma, Bahamas.

“We’re honored that the Academy has chosen to recognize our extremely talented and dedicated Island Routes team,” said Adam Stewart. “We’re a young company, and to have this bestowed upon us at such an early stage is so gratifying. We’ve set the bar high for ourselves, and we’re proud of what we’ve achieved. We’re already in five island destinations and rapidly growing with three new destinations on the horizon. ”

In presenting the award, Mr. Cinque said “Adventure and extreme sports are one of the fastest growing trends in travel these days. Due to the vision, creative leadership, and innovative tour offerings of this relatively new tour company, Island Routes has been able to corner the market by showcasing each island destination in which it operates with the best-of-the-best tours that every guest will want to experience. Island Routes has also distinguished itself by delivering the highest standard of customer service, surpassing expectations with every adventure tour, and offering a variety of tours that appeal to all.”

Island Routes offers premier excursions that showcase the vibrant culture and natural wonders in each of its five Caribbean destinations – Jamaica, St. Lucia, Antigua, Bahamas, and the Turks & Caicos Islands. These exhilarating adventures are as varied as the different island locations and offer something for everyone. Thrill-seekers can get up close and personal with nature by swimming with dolphins or diving with sharks, or they can stay above it all and get a birds-eye view on a zipline canopy, sky lift or even a bobsled roller coaster. For those who prefer rides through historic sites, lush landscapes and beautiful beaches, Island Routes also offers guests the opportunity to kick back on a carved bamboo raft, ride into the surf on horseback, or get dirty as they drive their own ATV, Dune Buggy or even a Segway.

“With our broad base of attractions,” Stewart adds, “business has been on the rise with some of our tour sales increasing nearly three hundred percent. There are many factors that have helped contribute to the success of the company within the first year, but by far, we owe our gratitude to all the hotel and industry partners on the islands which we operate, as well as our local communities, who have helped to shape this vision.
