Launch Party Shows Brides They Can Have It All In Jamaica

MIAMI – Island Bride Jamaica recently launched their 2011 wedding season with a cocktail party at Devon House’s Devonshire, a national heritage site in Kingston, Jamaica.

Featuring a chic mixture of outdoor and indoor set ups, local brides, wedding professionals and other guests were invited to peruse the newest trends in weddings for 2011. Tai Flora Services, who created the perfect wedding inspired ambience, outfitted the space with crystal curtains and lush floral arrangements featuring orchids, hydrangea and colored roses, and lilies.

Guests were invited to indulge in the wine bar provided by J Wray & Nephew, signature wedding themed cocktails and bar service by BarCode, hors d’oeuvres by Chef Oji Jaja of Ashebre, and mini cupcakes.

In addition, Island Bride Jamaica showcased a diverse selection of bridal themes to appeal to every bride, including shabby chic, traditional, vintage, island and beach. Guests were introduced to Island Bride Jamaica’s revamped home page and to their wedding planning services. “We were thrilled at the success of our 2011 launch,” says IBJ co-founder and Managing Director Shikima Hinds. “We are looking forward to a very productive and successful 2011 season,” added Carmel Legros, Island Bride Jamaica’s co-founder and Director of International Affairs.
