Elvis’ entry in the music industry began at age thirteen years old, when he wrote his first song, “My Girl”, which he recorded but never published. After migrating to the USA in 1986, he made contacted with his cousin Jerry Harris and ended up singing background vocals on Jerry’s debut album “Spreading All Over.” Four years later he joined Marty Butler & the People’s Heritage Band in New York playing the guitar and doing vocals on a few tracks. The group released their first single “Don’t change your mind” on L-Wayne Records and later released a cover of Deborah Cox’s “How did you get here.”

Still hoping to establish a solo career, he entered and placed third in the New York Reggae Rising Star competition which was held at Carib New York, in New Rochelle, NY. This served as the inspiration to release his debut album “Perfect Vibes.” He has since opened for cultural DJ Sizzla at Amazura in Queens, New York and even performed in New York with rising star D’Angel.

The talented singer disclosed that his inspiration comes from such artists as Beres Hammond and Maxi Priest. He also credits his cousin Jerry Harris and producer Horace James for helping him realize his dream of releasing his album.

“They stuck with me through thick and thin and all my disappointments to get this album out” he said.
