Holiday Inn Resort Montego Bay Honored With Culinary Excellence Award

Holiday Inn Resort Montego Bay resort lauded for showcasing Jamaican cuisine

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica – The Holiday Inn Resort® Montego Bay was among the big winners at this year’s Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Culinary EXPO.

The 518-room resort earned a Culinary Excellence Award in recognition for its exceptional authentic Jamaican cuisine.

“As a large, full-service all-inclusive property carrying a well-known international brand name, we’re tasked with delivering excellent dining experiences across a broad range of culinary traditions befitting our diverse clientele from all over the world,” said Nicola Madden-Greig, Group Director of Marketing & Sales. “More times than not, though, it is our Jamaican culinary offerings that earn the highest praise among our guests. We’re especially proud of this, of course, just as we are tremendously honored to be recognized by the JCDC in this way.”

Dining options at The Holiday Inn Resort® Montego Bay include a choice of eight different restaurants and bars. From burgers, fries, and hot dogs at the poolside Barefoot Grill, to artfully exquisite Japanese Teppanyaki à la carte dining at the elegant Kenko Restaurant and Italian favorites at Sorrento, there’s something to suit virtually every taste at The Holiday Inn Resort® Montego Bay.

Jamaican fare highlights the menu offerings at de Terrace, Seabreeze, and Portside, the buffet restaurant that serves as the hub of the entire resort. Not-to-be-missed as well is the popular Jerk Hut down on the beach, where the jerk chicken rivals that of Montego Bay’s most popular jerk pits and local restaurants.

“Sitting down by the beach enjoying some savory jerk chicken or pork with an ice-cold Red Stripe in hand and the nice sea breeze in your face; for many of our guests there truly is nothing better,” noted Madden-Greig.

The all-inclusive guest experience at the Holiday Inn Resort® Montego Bay includes unlimited meals, snacks and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Premium surcharges apply at Kenko and Seabreeze.

Unlimited use of non-motorized water sports equipment, resort amenities (tennis, mini golf, fitness center, etc.), free Wi-Fi usage throughout the resort, taxes and gratuities are also all included.
