Haitian Hip Hop Artist, Black Dada profiled on Deco Drive
MIAMI – Universal Republic/SBR R&B sensation Black Dada is steaming up airwaves with his hit single “Imma Zoe,” and is now hitting the small screen on that momentum. Deco Drive, an entertainment staple that airs on FOX/WSVN-7 in South Florida went behind the music with Black Dada, Thursday night, July 16.
From the recording studio at his Miami-based label of Strictly Business Records (SBR), Deco Drive profiled the artist in a never-before-seen way, as they capture Black Dada as he makes his music.
“Imma Zoe” first gained notoriety as a street anthem for Haitians – the word “zoe” meaning “life” in Greek and thus represents anyone who is a survivor or has overcome struggles in his or her life. Those sentiments are now echoed by everyone who has fallen in love with the track, regardless of cultural background.

Black Dada kicked off promotion for the single when he performed it live on BET’s 106 & Park on July 1, and appears in the current issue of Hip Hop Weekly. He is also featured in upcoming issues of Ozone Magazine, Jamrock Magazine, Lumiere Magazine and again in the next Hip Hop Weekly, just to name a few.
“Imma Zoe” was released nationwide this Tuesday by Universal Republic and has been on Billboard’s Bubbling Under R&B/Hip Hop chart for eight consecutive weeks now. The single has been in steady rotation on Miami’s 99Jamz and POWER96, and debuted on New York’s hit station HOT97 last Friday by Mister Cee. Black Dada was signed to Universal Republic in mid-June and DJ Khaled broke the news to South Florida fans, many of whom have supported his prolific journey for years now.
