MIAMI – The Haitian-American Community in South Florida expresses deep sorrow and salutes the memory of those victims in the Haiti earthquake that has occurred yesterday. Members of the Haitian Community in the United States are still looking for the whereabout of their love ones as series of aftershocks continue to sdhake haphazardly sections of the capital of Port-au-Prince.
The Haitian-American Grassroots Coalition (HAGC) is conducting a community consultation this Wednesday, January 14, 2010 at Jean-Jacques Dessalines Community Center 8325 NE 2 Avenue, Miami at 5:30 pm in order to help devise a strategy and come out with a collective plan in order to help Haiti recover in its rebuilding efforts on the aftermath of this catastrophic earthquake that hits island nation.
