Grenada Cultural & Civic Association of South Florida set to host its Annual Family Day Picnic

FT. LAUDERDALE – The Grenada Cultural & Civic Association of South Florida will be hosting its annual family day picnic on Sunday, July 2nd, 2006 at the West Lake Park in Ft. Lauderdale.

This year it is formally named, “Caribbean Family Day Picnic”. They have invited the Caribbean Consulates, Caribbean Organizations and the Caribbean community. It is their way of interacting and fostering relationships with other Caribbean Nationals.

This year The Grenada Cultural & Civic Association of South Florida will be using the event to make available multiple services they think Caribbean Nationals can use and benefit from. They are:

1 A health fair:
· Glucose testing
· Cholesterol testing
· Kids care
· Chiropractor screening

2 Voters registration
· Broward elections office demonstrating machine voting
· Dade and Broward registering voters

3 Immigration/legal services
· Caribbean Bar Association citizenship drive

4 Financial Services
· Information on managing personal finances

The Hollywood Police and Fire department will be on hand offering information on seatbelt, child restraint and fire safety.
