Greater Ft. Lauderdale to host American Tennis Association’s (ATA) 96th Annual National Championships, July 28th to August 3rd
FT. LAUDERDALE – Greater Ft. Lauderdale is days away from “History in the Making” with V*Starr Interiors/Venus Williams & the American Tennis Association when they host the American Tennis Association’s (ATA) 96th Annual National Championships, July 28th to August 3rd.
Whether you’re a tennis enthusiast, a player, a corporate sponsor or just want to be a part of this historic week join them at the nation’s largest Tennis Family Reunion and participate in history as the ATA will unveil the ATA Permanent Home and Training Facility, which is being designed in partnership with Venus Williams/V*Starr Interiors and the USTA.
There will be something for everyone from ages 8 to 80.
Every day they will have activities for the youth and adults. On Monday the Family BBQ will be Greek Evening where they are asking everyone to come and represent their respective Fraternities and Sororities. They have the Omegas coming in full gear and they will be partnering with the AKA’s (Althea Gibson) and the Kappa’s (Arthur Ashe) REPRESENT! Players staying at the host hotel will receive free access to the Welcome BBQ.
The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB) will be giving trip give away’s with radio advertising in Atlanta on Radio One MAJIC 107.5 & Praise 102.5, Chicago WVAZ 101.7 Today’s R&B and in Washington on WKYS 93.9.

The unveiling of the ATA Permanent Home and Training Facility is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 1st. Visit www.vstarrinteriors.com to see Venus Williams’ design company as she has agreed to provide the interior design of the building in partnership with and the USTA and their Facilities Grant Program.
This year they will celebrate those coaches past and present who have supported the ATA over the years as well as those coaches who are doing an incredible job working with urban youth.
Each registered coach staying at the host hotel will receive FREE admission to the Salute and be recognized by having their names on a permanent plaque in the new home.
