NAB Holds Successful Fund Raising Golf Tournament Events In Weston To Benefit Bahamian College Students and Underprivileged In US
WESTON – The National Association of Bahamians (NAB) recently held its first fundraising Golf Tournament at the Bonaventure Resort & Country Club, in Weston, Florida, in celebration of The Bahamas’ 43rd anniversary of independence.
The event, held in conjunction with the Bahamas Consulate office attracted some one hundred participants and more than a dozen sponsors.
Earl Miller, NAB’s Board Member and organizer of the tournament said he was very pleased with the level of support he received from the business community, especially those from the Caribbean diaspora. “We could not have achieved the level of success without their sponsorship and support. Additionally, the tournament provided a fantastic opportunity for us to connect and engage with each other in a relaxed setting while raising much needed funds that benefited Bahamian college students studying in Florida and the underprivileged children residing in Florida through the Dreams and Visions Organization,” he said.

NAB is a charitable organization established in 1993 by a group of Bahamians residing in South Florida to help Bahamians residing in South Florida and students studying there.
In addition to providing annual academic scholarships, the organization made up of all volunteers provide networking opportunities for Bahamian individuals and businesses toward building stronger and healthier economies in The Bahamas.
