Friends of Good Shepherd Mobay, Inc. announces its 9th Annual Fundraiser dinner

Friends of Good Shepherd Mobay, Inc., a local Organization that supports
charities in Jamaica will be staging its 9th annual fundraising dinner on
Saturday, April 2, 2005 at the Walter C. Young theatre for the performing
Arts in Pembroke Pines.

For eight years, this formal gala has served as the major fundraising event
for the Organization. In 2004, Friends of Good Shepherd Mobay, Inc.
donated some $40,000.00 to charities in Jamaica and contributed $1,000.00
to flood victims in Haiti in addition to well needed clothing and food
supplies.

Over the years the Organization has been the major supporter of its sister
organization, The Good Shepherd Foundation based in Montego Bay and headead
by Bishop Charles Dufour. The charities supported by the Group include a
hospice, primarily for aids patients, a home for abandoned children and a
home for mentally and physically challenged children.

The Good Shepherd Foundation also plays a major role in helping to educate
the children on the island through its Children’s Education Fund. The Fund
provides tuition, uniforms, transportation, books and meals for needy
children.

FOGS also serves the immediate South Florida Haitian community through its
sponsorship of the annual Christmas Treat for children at the Notre Dame
School in Miami.

This year’s fundraising dinner is expected to attract a wide cross section
of the South Florida Caribbean community. According to the President of
the Organization, Marie Buteau, the group is counting on the support of the
community.

Highlights of the event include a Silent Auction, a Dutch Auction and a
raffle. Two roundtrip tickets to Jamaica, compliments of Air Jamaica along
with a weekend stay at Sandals will be the top prize this year.
