Tampa – Florida CFO and Gubernatorial Candidate Alex Sink joined Floridians in recognizing Haitian Heritage Month and released the following statement:
“During Haitian Heritage Month, I encourage all Floridians to recognize and celebrate our state’s diversity and heritage by reflecting on the past and present accomplishments of our state’s Haitian and Haitian-American residents,” said Alex Sink. “I urge all Floridians to join me in honoring the significant achievements and contributions of our vibrant Haitian communities. I was inspired by the outpouring of support from Floridians for our brothers and sisters in Haiti after the tragic January 12 earthquake, and we must also take this month to reflect on what was lost, and focus on the work and rebuilding left to do.”
